This next strategy that I'm going to share with you is more powerful and more meaningful than any of the other strategies when combined with our social media, blogging and video strategies. The combination is a sure winner. So let's talk about it.One of the ways Google decides on ranking outside of on-page optimization (which we discussed in other videos) is by looking at backlinking and page ranking.  So to beat the competition, we have to check their banklinks,  page ranking, and additionally, the age of their website and their on-page optimization.

All other things being equal, having more high quality banklinks are key to meeting or beating the top-ranked opponent.  To do this the right way we find very specific and targeted backlinking opportunities that are designed to offer the highest quality backlinks to your website.

This strategy is one of the only strategies that requires spying on the competition. But consider it reconnaissance. These efforts are for the express purpose of matching and beating the competition's backlink network.

Page rank and backlinks have a direct relationship. Page rank can be between zero and ten. Ten is the highest page rank possible, so if we find backlinks that are higher than the competition's, and can get this link love from the highest ranking pages, we will be able to beat and replace the competitors.

This strategy is brilliant and definitely in line with our initial goals of getting to the number one ranking in Google and absorbing all traffic for your specific keywords. After all, that's what the first place position is entitled to!

In our original SEO report we also include the traffic for each keyword. The forecast and expected number of visitors is based on the website's goal and the ranking desired.  We always want to focus on keywords that will get us that number one ranking in the long run.  We also want to see this process happen gradually and naturally. Otherwise, we could be blacklisted by Google. Our backlink strategy takes all of this into consideration.
